Applicants should be able to independently carry out and report on a range of procedures and be capable of managing their own workload. Ideally they should have knowledge and skills to support practice across a range of sub-specialties e.g echo, cath lab, device management, ECG interpretation. It is desirable that applicants have experience of a more advanced field e.g electrophysiology, interventional cath lab, complex device follow up, complex echo.

Our department prides itself on actively encouraging the continuing development of our team members, both clinically and managerially. Alongside highly experienced Heads of Department, our dedicated Training Officer supports individuals to achieve professional success as well as ensuring skills are updated as services develop. We have an excellent track record of success in BSE accreditation and HRUK / IBHRE exams.
