Job summary
Touchstone is a partner within Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service. The service offers a range of evidence-based psychological interventions both at step 2 and step 3 as proposed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance. An exciting opportunity has arisen in the team for 8 full-time Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) positions to join either Touchstone, Northpoint or Leeds Community Healthcare (LCH) and contribute to the innovation and success of our well-established talking therapies service.
NHS Talking Therapies guidance states that CBT therapists working with clients who have long-term health conditions (LTCs) should complete the LTC training within two years of qualifying. As supporting clients with LTCs is an expected part of the role, therapists who have been qualified for two years and have not yet completed the NHS Talking Therapies LTC course may be asked to undertake this training. If you do not hold the relevant qualification for the post (i.e. Qualification from High Intensity IAPT Course (Post Graduate Diploma) OR A post graduate qualification in CBT to at least the equivalent of a post graduate diploma) applications will not be accepted.

The post holder will provide high intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) interventions as part of a stepped care model of care within a multidisciplinary team. The post holder will work with clients who have a range of complex anxiety and depression related problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective.
