Job summary

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Support Worker to join our friendly Podiatry Service. You will play an important role in supporting the podiatry team to provide safe, effective and person-centred care to our patients.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable and able to communicate well with patients and colleagues. You will need to work well as part of a team, demonstrate a positive attitude and be willing to develop your skills to support the podiatry service effectively. Attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to support clinical procedures are essential.

Experience within a healthcare environment would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in candidates who demonstrate the right values, commitment to patient care and willingness to learn. Main duties of the job

This involves assisting the registered staff in ensuring appropriate pathways of care for patients who require those services.
  • To contribute to the assessment and the treatment of individual patients on the caseload and communicate any changes in care needs to the registered staff.
  • Provide clerical and clinical assistance to Podiatrists in the treatment of a wide range of Podiatric conditions.
  • To contribute to the smooth running of the clinic ordering stock ensuring stock levels are maintained and clinic is set up appropriately.
  • Carry out observations record accurately and report abnormal results to senior colleagues.
