HR Administrator - 6 month contract

Johnsons Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Linen is seeking a full-time HR Administrator to provide comprehensive support to line managers and employees.

This is a varied and general HR role, and the successful applicant will deal with the full range of HR admin. This post is offered on a 6-month fixed term contract.

• Scan and upload employee documents and maintain all employee e-files
• Contact employees by letter, email and telephone to deal with HR queries
• Liaise with managers to ensure employee documents are scanned correctly
• Process new starters including issuing contracts and checking Right to Work
• Complete references and other requests for information
• Deal with arranging Occupational Health checks and referrals including translators
• Process pensions documentation
• Provide basic HR support to employees and managers
• Cover reception duties at lunchtime on a daily basis and as required
• Undertake any other ad hoc duties as required and as directed

Essential Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years’ recent office admin experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Above average knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• Excellent admin skills and experience

Desirable Requirements:

• Recent experience of working in an HR Admin role
• A recognised HR qualification
• Payroll experience
• Lives within a 30-minute commute of UB2 4SF
• Experience of working with ADP

Working Hours and Office Location:

• Monday to Friday, hours per week)
• Office based - UB2 4SF (Remote or hybrid working is not offered)
