Role Highlights for an SEN Teaching Assistant:- £85.50-£110 per day
- Full-time and term-time
- Schools across Enfield Town, Edmonton, Palmers Green, Southgate and Winchmore Hill
- Support for pupils with autism, ADHD, learning and communication needs
- Guidance from Reeson Education throughout the assignment
The SEN Teaching Assistant will adapt resources, reinforce teacher-led learning and use agreed strategies to help pupils participate successfully.
- Provide focused 1:1 and small-group support
- Promote independence rather than completing tasks for pupils
- Help pupils manage transitions and classroom routines
- Use calm, consistent approaches to behaviour
- Work alongside teachers, the SENCO and specialist professionals
An effective SEN Teaching Assistant will show empathy, resilience and strong communication. Experience with SEND is welcomed, but candidates with relevant youth work, care, mentoring or child-development experience may also have valuable transferable skills.
