Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible and reliable GP Receptionist with excellent communication skills to join our well-established, friendly, innovative, practice. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, and forward-thinking team. We welcome applications from experienced medical receptionists.

Currently offering 11h per week 2 days a week Monday 8.00-13.30, Friday 8.00-13.30 with possible extra shifts to cover emergencies and sickness. Possible permanent position.

Main duties of the job

Answering phones, booking appointments, answering patient's queries, chaperoning, supporting doctors and nurses in smooth running of the practice.

The role also requires maintaining patient confidentiality, following practice policies and procedures, handling sensitive or difficult situations appropriately, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the GP practice. Good communication, organisation, teamwork and customer service skills are essential.

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Good IT skills and experience using GP practice or clinical systems. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and deal calmly and professionally with patients, including in challenging situations.
