A welcoming Greenwich primary school is seeking a compassionate and skilled Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This role involves supporting a Year 3 student with ASD, working both within the mainstream classroom and the school's dedicated ASD unit.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant who is committed to helping children with additional needs thrive both academically and socially.
The Role - Learning Support AssistantAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide one-to-one support for a Year 3 student with ASD, tailoring strategies to their needs.

Work between the mainstream classroom and the ASD unit, ensuring smooth transitions.

Assist the class teacher and SEN team in delivering personalised learning plans.

Encourage independence and confidence, supporting the child's academic and social development.

Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.

Experience supporting children with ASD or additional needs (school-based experience preferred).

A patient, empathetic, and resilient individual.

Someone able to adapt approaches to meet the needs of the child across different settings.

A proactive team player who can collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and families.
