SEN Teaching Assistant | Tower Hamlets, East London

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Prospero Teaching is recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools in Tower Hamlets, East London. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, psychology students, support workers, youth workers, or individuals with experience working with children and young people with additional needs.

The Role

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
• Assist students with autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and other learning difficulties
• Support classroom learning and help pupils engage with lessons
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other school staff to support student progress

We're Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEN
• Patient, resilient, and empathetic individuals
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• School, care, support work, mentoring, tutoring, or youth work experience is beneficial

Working Hours

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Typical hours: 8:30am to 4:00pm

Requirements

• Right to Work in the UK
• Two years of professional references
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Completion of Prospero Teaching compliance checks
