Job summary
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Lead Nurse for our Colposcopy and Rapid Access Hysteroscopy Department.
Working within the multidisciplinary team the successful candidate will be responsible for a safe and efficient service providing high quality care to service users within Colposcopy and Rapid Access Gynaecology

Main duties of the job
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner is an experienced registered nurse with specialist skills to assess and treat patients and manage the clinical environment, in liaison with the management and consultant team.
The nurse will act as an autonomous practitioner informing clinical decisions and complex management plans in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of patients.
In conjunction with senior nursing and consultant staff formulatethe development of clinical guidance for all aspects of clinical practice within the clinical speciality.
The post holder will develop new areas of practice, with nursing and consultant staff ensuring quality standards are met.
The post holder will work closely with the interdisciplinary team and collaborate with colleagues to ensure that high quality patientcare is maintained
The postholder will practice independently as a Nurse Colposcopist, accredited with the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).The postholder will lead and deliver an expert nursing service within the Colposcopy and Rapid Access Hysteroscopy Department (RAC).
