Job summary

Are you highly organised, people-focused, and passionate about making learning happen? Were looking for a dynamic Clinical Educator to join our team and support our ambition to be the palliative care educator of choice.

This is role is for 15 hours per week to be worked flexibly Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

You will be at the heart of our Quality and Education Team, providing comprehensive education while helping to shape and deliver impactful learning experiences for a range of professionals.

Job responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Promoting, and facilitating opportunities for staff to learn and develop
  • Working with the Clinical Practice Educator to implement the hospice clinical education strategy
  • Embedding the hospices competencies and role modelling expert care throughout the clinical workforce
  • Supporting staff to complete relevant clinical skills competencies
  • Contributing to the delivery of a clinical education programme
  • Embracing innovative and creative ways of delivering education effectively
  • Engaging in the design and delivery of our education strategy Ensure all education is evidence based
  • Ensuring that you follow good infection control practice at all times and that you are familiar with infection control policies, procedures, and guidance relevant to your area of work
  • Understanding your role in the safeguarding of adults and children by being able to identify risks, and recognise signs of harm, abuse or neglect including how to report concerns and take immediate action to protect a person at risk of harm or abuse

  • Willing to work towards a post registration degree level qualification in end of life or palliative care
  • Experience of working in a clinical environment as a registered nurse with knowledge and understanding of end of life care

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse qualification with current NMC registration
  • Post-registration degree level qualification (minimum level 6)
