We are recruiting for a Clinical Trust Fellow (ST1/ST2 Equivalent) Trauma & Orthopaedics who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
Main duties of the job
The main role of this post will be to provide excellent inpatient care to the Orthopaedic patients, under the supervision of your Consultant and middle grade staff. As part of the team structure, there will be dedicated Orthogeriatric junior staff, led by Dr Jamil and Orthogeriatric middle grade staff.
On average, the total number of hours each week will be a maximum of 48 hours, on a full shift pattern with an out-of-hours on-call commitment.

Opportunities to carry out audits/quality improvement and research work with view to gaining peer-reviewed publications.
The main responsibility of this post will be the best inpatient care of both trauma and elective patients, although there will be an additional opportunities for theatre attendance and for clinic experience. This additional experience will be facilitated by the on-going development of the dedicated Orthogeriatric service and the team-based approach to inpatient care.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop expertise within a supported environment and consolidate experience gained during Foundation Years training. Orthopaedics is an exciting speciality this post would be ideal to gain experience prior to speciality training.
