Antibody Scientist

Your new company
You'll be joining a global biopharmaceutical organisation at the forefront of antibody discovery and engineering. You'll work within a highly collaborative antibody discovery group developing next-generation therapeutics using advanced in vitro display, single B cell, and sequencing technologies.

Your new role
As an Antibody Scientist in the company's R&D team, you will support the discovery and optimisation of bovine antibodies using advanced display technologies and molecular biology approaches.
Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, generating, and screening antibody libraries to support early-stage discovery programmes
• Applying phage display and/or yeast display technologies to identify and optimise antibody candidates
• Preparing and analysing NGS datasets to inform antibody selection and discovery strategies
• Performing binding and characterisation assays to evaluate antibody-antigen interactions
• Supporting the development of improved discovery workflows, library designs, and data analysis approaches
• Collaborating with antibody engineering, structural biology, computational, and therapeutic area teams to deliver project milestones

What you'll need to succeed
A successful candidate will combine antibody discovery expertise (eg with monoclonal antibodies) with strong molecular biology and data interpretation skills.You should also have:

• A PhD (or equivalent experience) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Immunology, or a related discipline, with a preference for industrial experience in a biotech, CRO or pharmaceutical company
• Hands-on experience with phage display, yeast display, or related antibody discovery technologies
• Strong background in molecular biology and antibody research, eg for mAb or polyclonal antibodies
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with NGS workflows and sequence data analysis would be highly advantageous
• Knowledge of protein engineering, antibody optimisation, or binder discovery approaches is also desirable but can be trained

ALL candidates must have the right to work in the UK until at least November 2027 (preferably beyond) as no sponsorship is available for this role.
