Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Greenwich

Full-Time HLTA | Greenwich

Are you an experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? A welcoming and supportive school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join their team on a full-time, 5-day-per-week basis.

The successful candidate will have previous HLTA or relevant classroom experience, strong knowledge of teaching and learning, and the confidence to lead and support pupils across the school. A degree is preferred, alongside a genuine commitment to helping children achieve their full potential.

• Deliver engaging lessons and learning activities across the school.
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils.
• Cover classes and lead learning in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support teachers with planning, assessment and classroom management.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Contribute to the wider life and development of the school.

• Previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar classroom-based role.
• Strong understanding of the curriculum, teaching and learning.
• Confident leading lessons and managing a classroom independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Degree educated is preferred.
• Passionate, reliable and committed to supporting pupil progress.

Location: Greenwich
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
