About the role and school

Teach Plus are currently working with a friendly and supportive primary school in East London who are looking to appoint a KS2 Teacher for an ASAP start.

The school is looking for a committed KS2 Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, establish positive relationships with pupils and maintain high standards of behaviour and learning.

The role would suit an experienced primary teacher or an ECT looking to develop their teaching career within a supportive school environment. You will work as part of an established team and receive support with planning, assessment and the wider responsibilities of the role.

The successful KS2 Teacher will be enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to helping pupils achieve their potential.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and parents.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies.

Qualifications/Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status or recognised UK teaching qualification.
• KS2 teaching experience is desirable.
• ECTs are welcome to apply.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Passion for primary education.
