Job summary
This is a clinical role whereby the post holder will be responsible for the provision of quality patient care through clear clinical leadership. You will be expected to deputise for the ward manger in their absence. Effectively manage and lead the nursing team and work proactively with the multidisciplinary team in conjunction with the Ward manger.
The post holder will act as a resource and have specialist interest in teaching and development of the nursing staff whilst ensuring mandatory and in house training is maintained
Main duties of the job
1. To act as deputy to the Ward Manager as required. 2. Supporting the Ward Manager in providing a unified approach to high standardsof patient care. 3. To create an environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice andempowers staff to develop high levels of clinical skills and autonomy. 4. Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patientsand their families.
