Management Accountant - 3-Month Contract

Location: Warrington
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract: 3-Month Contract, Full-time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established organisation based in Warrington on an initial 3-month contract.

This is a varied, hands-on position within a busy finance team and would suit someone who can quickly get up to speed and provide immediate support across management accounts, month-end, VAT, reconciliations and wider financial reporting.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial information.
• Support the month-end close, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Maintain nominal ledgers and complete regular bank reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT returns for review prior to submission to HMRC.
• Process accounting adjustments, transfers and other ledger entries.
• Maintain bank accounts, reconciliations and payment processing across multiple entities.
• Undertake regular reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items.
• Liaise with external accountants and provide period-end reports and supporting information.
• Provide wider support to the finance team as required.

• Experienced Management Accountant with a strong hands-on accounting background.
• Part-qualified, fully qualified, QBE or similar accounting experience considered.
• Strong experience preparing monthly management accounts.
• Confident with month-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Excellent bank reconciliation and nominal ledger experience.
• Good understanding of VAT and wider accounting processes.
• Strong Excel and general IT skills.
• Able to work independently, prioritise effectively and quickly adapt to a new environment.
• Available at short notice and able to commit to an initial 3-month contract.
