We are working with a leading global banking organisation to recruit a Business Communications Manager to join a growing Technology Innovation function.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Manager, Communications Manager, Strategy Manager or Technology professional who combines strong commercial and organisational skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
The role sits at the intersection of business management, technology innovation, strategy, stakeholder engagement and communications. You will work closely with Technology Innovation leadership and stakeholders across the Bank to raise awareness of key initiatives, drive engagement and help demonstrate the value and impact of technology innovation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing business management support to the Technology Innovation leadership team.
- Coordinating and delivering technology innovation events, including town halls, technology talks, speaker sessions and leadership events.
- Working with technology SMEs and business stakeholders to understand key initiatives and translate them into clear, engaging business narratives.
- Developing executive-ready presentations, briefing packs, case studies and portfolio materials.
- Creating and coordinating newsletters, innovation updates and awareness communications.
- Supporting communications and engagement around strategic technology themes, particularly AI, automation and emerging technology.
- Developing and maintaining communications and events plans across multiple initiatives.
- Supporting the creation of short-form video and other digital content, using established templates and resources.
- Helping to build visibility of innovation activity across the Bank and, in particular, connecting activity happening across different teams and geographies.
- Supporting the development of messaging and materials that demonstrate the value, progress and outcomes of Technology Innovation initiatives.
- Preparing management information and reporting for senior leadership.
- Working across Technology and business functions to build strong relationships, gather information and drive initiatives forward.
- Supporting strategic planning, prioritisation and execution across the Technology Innovation portfolio.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, typically across 3–10 initiatives, whilst maintaining a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
You'll ideally bring:
- Experience working in a Business Management, Communications Management, Strategy, Technology or Transformation environment.
- Strong project and programme coordination skills, with the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and navigating complex organisational structures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, concise and compelling messaging.
- An understanding of technology operations and the role technology plays within a large financial institution.
- A good understanding of core banking functions and how Technology supports the wider business.
- Experience supporting employee engagement, culture, communications or events would be advantageous.
- The ability to create polished, structured presentations and executive materials.
- A genuine interest in technology, innovation and emerging areas such as AI and automation.
- The confidence to ask questions, challenge constructively and get to the heart of a subject.
- The ability to use AI tools effectively to support content creation and communication, while retaining the judgement to ensure outputs are accurate, relevant and appropriate for the audience.
