Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join the administration team within the Imaging Modality. You should have the ability to work well under pressure, be organised and have excellent attention to detail. You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, liaising with staff at all levels in a confident manner and be willing to learn.
We are a diverse and friendly team who are dedicated and highly motivated to ensure both patients and staff receive the best service. As part of our Imaging Administration team, you will be required to work on a rotating shift pattern within our specialist areas. This is to broaden your skills and knowledge and to assist colleagues in different departments.
The vacancy may involve working both at Addenbrooke's Hospital and Saffron Walden Community Hospital, CB11 3HY, dependant on department.
The vacancy will involve shift work and possible weekends, dependant on department.
Main duties of the job
You will provide high quality administrative support to the department.
Tasks will include typing, Reception duties, customer service, maintaining databases, booking appointments / meeting, filing, organising and booking meeting rooms and general administrative support to the Department.
You will play a key role in the efficient day to day activities of the department. You will often be the first point of contact for the department and will be required to communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
You will answer general queries and explain information relating to the department.

All roles in the Trust include a mandatory 12-week training period. Therefore, successful candidates are expected to have the Right to Work for a period of at least 6 months from the proposed start date. Immigration and Right to Work status will be discussed with successful candidates at conditional offer. CUH will not offer sponsorship to candidates that have applied for a fee waiver.
All appointments with a start date on or after 1 October will be subject to a 12-week probationary period. This provides a structured and supportive period to help you settle into your role, with regular reviews and feedback.
As per Home Office guidelines, please be aware that, unfortunately, the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular position.
Due to Home Office immigration rules, a full time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa. Therefore, please be advised that if you are a Student visa holder, we will not be able to offer you a full time permanent contract unless you have:
- applied for a Graduate visa
- or you will have successfully completed your course and have applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of your employment
