KS2 Teaching Assistant | Greenwich | £95 to £105 per day

Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term opportunity in a Greenwich primary school?

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Greenwich on a full-time basis, with an ASAP start.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting older primary pupils, helping them make progress and becoming a consistent, trusted member of their classroom team.

The role

Working alongside the class teacher, you will support pupils throughout the school day and provide additional help where required. You will play an important part in helping children access learning, build confidence and develop their independence.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Supporting pupils across the KS2 curriculum.

* Working with individuals and small groups.

* Providing additional support with reading, writing and maths.

* Helping pupils who need additional support to access lessons.

* Encouraging pupils to stay engaged with their learning.

* Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines.

* Assisting the teacher with lessons and activities.

What we are looking for

* Previous experience working with children.

* Primary school experience is desirable.

* Experience working with KS2 pupils.

* Good communication skills and a calm, consistent approach.

* The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

You do not necessarily need years of Teaching Assistant experience. Graduates and candidates with relevant transferable experience who are looking to build a career in education are encouraged to apply.
