Leeds City Council is recruiting two dedicated Full-Time Team Managers to lead their Children Looked After (CLA) service based out of Kernel House in Seacroft. Offering £35.00 per hour, these positions cover two distinct age-specialist teams: one managing the 0-12 age cohort and the other focusing on 13+ young people.
About the Roles & Service Area:-
Role 1 (0-12 CLA Team): Oversee early permanency planning, adoption/fostering pathways, care proceedings, and long-term care plans for primary-aged children and infants.

Role 2 (13+ CLA Team): Focus on adolescent safeguarding, placement stability, pathway planning, independent living skills, and preparing young people for adulthood.

Team Leadership: Provide visible management oversight, regular reflective supervision, and professional development for frontline Social Workers.

Care & Permanency Planning: Drive high-quality statutory care planning, CLA reviews, court reporting, and robust risk assessments.

Quality Assurance: Conduct practice audits, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure high operational performance across the team.

Multi-Agency Working: Build strong working relationships with education, health, therapeutic services, and independent review officers (IROs).

Qualifications & SWE: Qualified Social Worker with active Social Work England (SWE) registration.

Leadership Experience: Proven experience as a Team Manager or Advanced Practitioner within statutory Children's Social Care (specifically Looked After Children, Fostering, or Permanency settings).

Statutory Knowledge: Expert understanding of the Children Act 1989, Care Planning Regulations, court frameworks, and safeguarding guidance.

Competitive Rate:£35.00 per hour.

Base & Flexibility: Based at Kernel House in Seacroft with supportive hybrid working arrangements.
