  • Proven end-to-end internal audit experience, encompassing planning, fieldwork and reporting, gained within the insurance sector across one or more of Life, General Insurance (GI) and/or Lloyd’s of London.
  • A background at Assistant Manager to Senior Manager level within internal audit, with the capability to operate independently, take ownership of engagements and contribute meaningfully from the outset of an interim assignment.
  • Solid understanding of risk management frameworks and internal control environments, including the ability to identify, assess and articulate control weaknesses and their potential impact within a regulated insurance business.
  • Strong familiarity with audit management software and Microsoft Office packages, with the ability to produce clear, well-evidenced workpapers and audit reports that meet professional standards and withstand scrutiny from senior stakeholders and regulators alike.
  • Good working knowledge of the regulatory landscape applicable to insurance, including PRA and FCA requirements, Solvency II and the expectations around governance, risk and compliance within insurers and Lloyd’s managing agents.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage confidently with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation, communicating audit findings in a clear and constructive manner and building the trusted relationships that underpin effective internal audit delivery.
