Job summary

The Acute Assessment Unit is a busy fast-paced inpatient medical unit, that provides care for adult patients from age sixteen and over, with diverse medical conditions. We work closely with our inter-disciplinary teams, to ensure swift, safe and high-quality care for all our patients as we endeavour to maintain an average length of patient stay of seventy-two hours.

We pride ourselves on having an integrated friendly and welcoming team made up of Allied health professionals including Doctors, Nurses and Therapists. We work closely with our colleagues from Accident & Emergency (A&E), Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC), all medical wards, other departments and areas within the hospital, ensuring timely patient flow, from A&E/SDEC to the appropriate wards/destination as per patients' medical requirement.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about working alongside clinicians caring for patient and is enthusiastic in upholding our Trust values and building the reputation of our Trust. We welcome the opportunity to meet with you.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be expected to be professional while working effectively under pressure without compromising basic standards of care. We ensure all staff especially newly appointed employees are supported within our clinical environment through extended local induction programme to enhance our corporate induction. We also offer excellent managerial support and commitment to personal professional development.

You will be expected to work collaboratively and always uphold our Trust values.
