Main duties of the job

As the Head of Housekeeping at a Barchester care home, your main role is to ensure that the surroundings are warm and homely, contributing to the high quality of care and support provided to residents. You will manage a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring that every room and living space is impeccably maintained. This position requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to motivate your team to deliver their best. Good communication skills are also important as interaction with staff, residents, and their families is frequent. The role comes with shift times of 8:00-16:00 or 7:00-15:00, including working every other weekend.
