Commercial Finance Analyst - Make an Impact Through Insight
An established and well-known business is seeking a commercially focused finance professional to join its team on an initial three-month contract.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, helping to shape commercial decisions through robust analysis, performance reporting and strategic financial support. You'll play an important part in helping the organisation navigate a busy period while delivering meaningful insight that supports sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
The Role
Working within a high-performing finance function, you'll be responsible for turning financial and operational information into insight and recommendations that support business objectives.
Key areas of focus include:
- Delivering meaningful analysis of trading and financial performance across the organisation.
- Supporting forecasting, planning and budgeting activities.
- Identifying trends, risks and opportunities to improve business performance.
- Producing management information and performance reports for senior stakeholders.
- Evaluating the financial impact of commercial initiatives and strategic projects.
- Working with non-finance teams to improve understanding of financial performance and key metrics.
- Enhancing reporting processes and helping drive improvements in the quality and accessibility of business information.
- Contributing to regular leadership reporting through insightful commentary and analysis.
We're interested in speaking with commercially aware finance professionals who enjoy using data to influence decision-making.
You will ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA studies completed, in progress, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in an analytical, commercial finance or business partnering environment.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
- The ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach.
- A naturally inquisitive mindset with a desire to challenge, investigate and improve.
- The ability to work effectively in a changing and fast-moving environment.
