We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank General Practitioner to join our team at Gatwick IRC. Gatwick IRC, based in the heart of Gatwick, providing care to around 615 patients across two sites at Brook House and Tinsley House.
Within this role you will be working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care for patients. Within this role you will work closely the entire multiple disciplinary team , you will gain insight into Mental Health and Substance Misuse, as well as access to a variety of training opportunities with the opportunity to work towards your RCGP level 2 and other qualifications should you wish.
Dr Alex Griffiths on working as a GP for Health in Justice HoursThis is a bank role.
Salary
Youll receive an hourly rate of £98.70.

Main duties of the job
Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldnt usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
- Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
- Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active
- involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualifications required
- MBChB or MBBS
- Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
- Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
