We are looking for an Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Wirral, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis. As a 1:1 Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting a young person with their learning, development and wellbeing. You will build positive relationships, encourage engagement and help create a safe, supportive environment where pupils can flourish.

The successful candidate will be confident supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour and will have a calm, patient and consistent approach. Every day can bring something different, so we are looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable and isn't afraid to get involved!

• Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an SEN school or specialist setting.
• Has strong experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour.
• Is confident managing behaviour in a calm, positive and consistent way.
• Is proactive and enthusiastic about engaging with pupils.
• Can build trusting and positive relationships with young people.
• Is patient, resilient and understanding.
• Is passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their potential.
• Is willing to get involved and go the extra mile to make a difference.
