Temporary Accommodation Placement Officer - Housing

In this role, you will prevent, arrange and manage temporary accommodation placements for households experiencing homelessness.

Duties:

• Negotiate with evicting households to prevent the need for temporary accommodation
• Arrange and manage temporary accommodation placements and transfers for homeless households.
• Work with residents, landlords, providers and partners to secure suitable housing.
• Ensure placements are safe, compliant and cost effective.
• Manage competing demands while delivering a customer-focused service.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in housing, property, homelessness or customer focused services.
• Experience managing competing priorities in a busy environment.
• Experience building relationships with customers and external partners.
• Experience providing high quality support to people in challenging circumstances.
• Experience of using IT systems and data bases to ensure accurate recording
