The role
Buckshaw Hospital is looking for a Senior Radiographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging Team. This role is vital for providing high-quality patient care in a modern hospital.
As a Senior Radiographer, you will ensure a safe and efficient imaging service, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You will also support service development and mentor junior staff and students.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
- Perform imaging exams ensuring excellent patient care.
- Support operational management of the imaging department.
- Mentor junior radiographers and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with IR(ME)R and radiation safety standards.
- Participate in quality assurance and service improvement.
- Collaborate with clinicians for seamless patient care.
- Contribute to training and professional development.
- Participate in on-call and flexible working as needed.
What you'll bring:
- Degree/Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Significant post-registration experience.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and governance.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to patient-centred care.
- Experience mentoring colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
