Defence & Digital Engineering Programme

Overview

We're supporting a major Defence and Aerospace programme seeking experienced Scrum Masters to join Digital Engineering delivery teams.

These roles will play a key part in supporting Agile delivery across multiple workstreams, helping teams improve delivery performance, remove impediments and establish effective ways of working within a complex engineering environment.

This is an opportunity to work within a large-scale programme where collaboration, stakeholder engagement and Agile delivery discipline are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Reviews and Retrospectives.
• Support teams in adopting and maintaining Agile delivery practices.
• Identify and remove blockers impacting delivery teams.
• Support Programme Increment (PI) Planning activities.
• Promote continuous improvement and effective team collaboration.
• Work closely with Product Owners, delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Track progress, dependencies, risks and impediments across delivery activities.
• Coach teams on Agile principles, delivery discipline and best practice.
• Support collaboration across multiple teams operating within a scaled Agile environment.

Experience Required

• Previous experience working as a Scrum Master.
• Experience operating within Agile delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of Scrum principles and Agile ways of working.
• Experience supporting Programme Increment (PI) Planning.
• Comfortable facilitating workshops, ceremonies and stakeholder discussions.
• Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within Defence, Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology or other complex programme environments would be advantageous.

Contract Information

• Hybrid Working – Reading 2-3 days, rest remote
• Initial 6-Month Contract, with a view to extend
• Inside IR35
• Active SC Clearance Required
• Sole British passport holder only
• Competitive Day Rate, to be discussed
