NXTGEN is partnering with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Management Accountant for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
Working as part of the site finance team, you will combine management accounting, financial analysis and business partnering to help operational leaders understand performance and make well-informed commercial decisions.
This is a highly visible position with regular exposure to senior site stakeholders. You will work closely with production, process and engineering teams, providing meaningful financial insight, constructively challenging performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.
Key responsibilities:- Supporting the preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts and reporting.
- Analysing operational costs, performance and variances, translating the numbers into clear commercial insight.
- Partnering with production, process and engineering leaders to strengthen their understanding of financial performance.
- Supporting budgeting and reforecasting across the site, ensuring information is accurate and delivered within agreed deadlines.
- Reviewing large volumes of operational and financial data to identify trends, risks and cost-saving opportunities.
- Supporting continuous-improvement initiatives and validating the resulting financial benefits.
- Providing financial input around capital expenditure and its impact on site forecasts.
- Attending operational meetings as the finance representative, providing appropriate support and constructive challenge.
- Maintaining accurate information across the ERP and management-information systems.
- Ensuring robust financial controls and company policies are followed.
- Supporting wider finance teams and completing ad hoc analysis as required.
- Be qualified, part-qualified or actively studying towards CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
- Bring relevant management accounting, analysis or finance business-partnering experience.
- Be confident working with operational and non-financial stakeholders.
- Have strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex data into clear, meaningful information.
- Be highly organised and comfortable working to tight reporting deadlines.
- Possess advanced Excel skills, with experience handling and analysing large datasets.
- Be collaborative, commercially curious and comfortable constructively challenging stakeholders.
