Main duties of the job
As a Second Chef at Barchester, you will work with fresh seasonal food and assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious and flavoursome menus tailored around the residents' preferences. You will manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence and assist in menu development, delivering high-quality dishes and working within budget. The role involves creating a warm, efficient, and fun environment and completing regular audits and stock control. This is a part time role 3 x shifts per week, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday (7am-5pm, 30hrs p/week)

NEED TO DO Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence Assist Head Chef in menu development Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest quality and standards Create a warm, efficient and fun environment Work within budget Complete regular audits Manage stock control
