Head of Delivery

Interim Head of Delivery – Housing

Based in London, hybrid working

Length: 3-6 months

We are seeking an experienced Head of Delivery to join a Housing Service within a Local Authority who are undergoing a significant programme of improvement and transformation.

You will lead the delivery of complex programmes and projects designed to improve operational performance, strengthen governance and deliver better outcomes for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead major service improvement and transformation initiatives, ensuring they are evidence-led and focused on resident outcomes, all in line with the 10-year Housing Plan

· This includes implementing strategy & policy change, inspection readiness, design and delivery of new business initiatives, major service and system change projects

· Establish and lead multidisciplinary delivery teams across systems, data, finance, improvement and housing services

· Lead work around HRA budgets, savings, service charges and value-for-money initiatives

· Develop effective performance management frameworks, KPIs, budgets and targets to monitor delivery against strategic objectives

Key Requirements:

· Proven experience delivering complex projects and programmes within a large and complex organisation

· Ideal candidate will have local government experience but open to wider public sector organisations too

· Strong knowledge of different project and programme management methodologies

· A recognised project/programme management qualification such as PRINCE2, MSP or APM
