Assistant Accountant

Are you looking to develop your career in finance and progress into a Management Accountant position?

We are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team in Sheffield. Working closely with an experienced finance manager you will gain valuable experience across financial reporting, accruals and reconciliations and management accounting activities and this 12-month FTC could be a great stepping stone into a management accounts role.

Key Responsibilities

• Management accounts support including accruals, prepayments and income adjustments.
• Assist with ensuring income and expenditure are recognised in the correct accounting period.
• Transactional support including ledger duties
• Working closely with the finance manager

About You

• AAT studier, relevant accounting degree or relevant experience
• Previous experience within an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
• Experience with accruals, journals and month-end activities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
