As an HR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering a professional and solutions-focused HR service. Your core responsibilities will include:
HR Advisory & Employee Relations:
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and UK employment legislation.
- Manage a variety of employee relations cases, including absence management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance issues.
- Coach managers to enhance their confidence and capabilities in people management.
HR Operations & Lifecycle Support:
- Support key HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, performance management, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HR administration to ensure compliance with company standards.
Collaboration & Business Support:
- Partner with operational managers to deliver practical, business-focused HR solutions.
- Build strong relationships with head office and field-based teams while providing support to junior HR team members.
Projects & Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to HR projects including policy reviews and engagement initiatives, while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
What You'll Bring:
- Previous experience as an HR Advisor, HR Specialist, or in a generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practises.
- Experience managing employee relations cases with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
