About this job

Nursery Recruitment Sales Executive – Part-Time

Remote | Choose Your Own UK Territory

£17.50 per hour + 10% commission + performance bonuses

10 hours per week initially, with potential to increase to around 15 hours

Freelance | 12-month contract | Initial 4-week paid performance review

E Junior Recruitment is looking for a confident, commercially minded Nursery Recruitment Sales Executive to develop a new client base within one dedicated UK territory.

This is a genuine new-business role.

The successful candidate will choose one region to own and develop from the following:

  • Greater London
  • South East
  • South West
  • Midlands
  • North East
  • North West
  • Yorkshire

You will not be expected to cover the whole country.

Instead, we want you to become focused on your chosen territory, understand the nursery market within it, build relationships with nursery owners and managers and develop a long-term client base.

The opportunity

You will be responsible for identifying private day nurseries with recruitment needs, speaking directly with nursery owners, directors and managers, introducing our managed recruitment service and converting suitable opportunities into paying clients.

You will not be responsible for delivering the recruitment campaigns yourself.

Once you secure a client, the recruitment campaign will be managed centrally by an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager with extensive recruitment experience, including previous experience recruiting within the nursery sector.

This allows you to remain focused on developing your territory, generating new business and building relationships with the clients you introduce.

The service you will be selling

Rather than charging traditional recruitment agency placement fees, E Junior offers private day nurseries a managed recruitment campaign service.

We can support the nursery with the complete recruitment process, including:

  • Vacancy and recruitment campaign setup
  • Advert creation
  • Job-board advertising
  • Application management
  • Candidate screening
  • Shortlisting
  • Interview scheduling
  • Candidate communication
  • Offer management
  • Collection of agreed onboarding information

We manage the recruitment campaign while the nursery retains the final hiring decision.

The service is designed for nursery owners and managers who need to recruit but don't have the time or internal recruitment resource to manage the entire process themselves.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing private day nursery clients within your chosen territory
  • Researching and identifying suitable prospective clients
  • Making proactive outbound calls and other appropriate approaches
  • Speaking with nursery owners, directors and managers
  • Identifying current and upcoming recruitment requirements
  • Introducing E Junior's managed recruitment campaign service
  • Understanding each nursery's recruitment challenges
  • Creating interest and handling objections
  • Following up prospective clients
  • Converting opportunities into paid recruitment campaigns
  • Maintaining relationships with clients you've introduced
  • Identifying repeat recruitment opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate activity and pipeline records
  • Attending a short weekly performance and pipeline review

Your territory

We want you to take genuine ownership of your region.

You'll choose one of the following territories:

Greater London | South East | South West | Midlands | North East | North West | Yorkshire

Your focus will be on building the strongest possible nursery client base within that region rather than making occasional calls across the whole UK.

As the business grows, successful territories could provide opportunities for increased hours and further responsibility.

What we're looking for

You must be comfortable generating business from scratch.

There will be no established portfolio of nursery clients handed to you. You'll be responsible for creating opportunities within your territory.

Previous experience in any of the following would be particularly useful:

  • Recruitment sales
  • Recruitment consultancy
  • Business development
  • Telesales
  • Nursery or early-years recruitment
  • Selling services to SMEs

However, previous nursery recruitment experience isn't essential if you can demonstrate strong new-business ability.

We are particularly interested in someone who can work independently.

You should not require constant supervision, daily instructions or scripts for every conversation.

We'll provide a clear service, target market, territory, support and expectations. We want someone confident enough to take ownership of their activity and determine how best to generate results.

Pay, commission and bonuses

You'll receive:

£17.50 per hour for 10 hours per week

plus

10% commission on service revenue generated from clients you win, subject to payment being received.

Additional performance bonuses will also be available for consistently generating paid recruitment campaigns.

Strong performance could lead to additional hours, continued ownership of your territory and a longer-term role as the service expands.

Initial performance review

The first four weeks will be fully paid.

Performance will be reviewed using clear weekly activity and commercial KPIs, including:

  • Prospecting activity
  • Decision-maker conversations
  • Qualified opportunities
  • Pipeline development
  • Paid recruitment campaigns
  • Revenue generated

This isn't a heavily managed telesales position.

You'll have considerable freedom over how you develop your territory, provided your activity is professional, properly recorded and producing measurable progress.

We'll have a short weekly check-in to review results, pipeline, objections and opportunities.

Why join?

You're not joining a large recruitment agency to inherit somebody else's desk.

You'll have the opportunity to build and own a nursery recruitment sales territory from the beginning.

Your role is to develop the relationships and win the business.

If you are confident in your ability to open doors, build relationships and turn conversations into paying clients, we'd like to hear from you.
