Senior Category Manager

• Interim Senior Category Manager vacancy: £450 to £500 per day, inside IR35
• Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days home, London
• 6 month initial contract, ASAP start

A well established, privately owned global consumer brand with a quarter of a century of heritage and a genuinely loyal, global following. Entrepreneurial by nature, the business has scaled quickly, and procurement is a newly built function being established to match that pace of growth.

Reporting into the Global Head of Procurement, you will own the Professional Services category globally: running competitive tenders and negotiating contracts across paid media and search agencies, marketing agencies, a significant US ecommerce relationship, and travel and catering suppliers, including in-house hospitality.

• Build tender and contract negotiation processes from scratch for a Professional Services category with no established procurement infrastructure
• Lead competitive tenders across paid media and search agencies, and other marketing agency relationships
• Manage significant US ecommerce-related spend
• Negotiate and manage travel and catering contracts, including in-house hospitality suppliers
• Identify and deliver cost savings across the supplier base as the business continues to scale
• Partner closely with finance, HR, legal, ecommerce and IT stakeholders who currently own supplier relationships

• Background in a consumer-facing business: retail, FMCG, hospitality or luxury strongly preferred
• Experience procuring professional and indirect services (marketing, agency, HR, legal, travel) rather than physical goods or logistics
• Available immediately, or at short notice, for a 6 month contract
