Curriculum Manager - Vocational Science

Location: North London
Contract: Full Time - Temporary

We are recruiting for an experienced Curriculum Manager - Vocational Science to join a Further Education college in North London on a full-time temporary basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced science education professional to lead teaching and learning, manage curriculum delivery and drive improvements in learner success, achievement and experience.

The Role
  • Lead and manage the Vocational Science curriculum
  • Provide effective leadership and support to lecturers and technicians
  • Oversee high-quality teaching, learning and assessment
  • Drive improvements in retention, success and achievement
  • Develop, review and continuously improve the curriculum offer
  • Monitor quality and ensure key performance targets are achieved
  • Support staff development, performance and deployment
  • Liaise with awarding bodies, employers and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and wider college initiatives
  • Teach up to 15 hours per week, depending on service requirements
About You
  • Experienced Curriculum Manager, Curriculum Leader, Programme Manager or similar
  • Strong background in Vocational Science / Science
  • Experience leading teaching and learning within FE
  • Proven experience managing and developing teaching staff
  • Strong understanding of curriculum quality and improvement
  • Excellent knowledge of learner progress, achievement and performance
  • Appropriate academic and full teaching qualification, including PGCE, is essential
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Passionate about delivering excellent learner outcomes
