An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist/Clinical Embryologist to join Care Fertility Leeds on a permanent basis.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of laboratory duties associated with assisted reproductive technology (ART), appropriate to their level of experience. Responsibilities include:
- Oocyte collection
- Sperm preparation and cryopreservation
- Insemination and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
- Fertilisation and embryo assessment
- Embryo freezing and embryo transfer procedures
- Oocyte cryopreservation
- Participation in weekend and bank holiday rotas
Candidates with embryo biopsy experience will have opportunities to undertake biopsy procedures. Training can be provided for suitable candidates who do not currently possess this experience.

The Clinical Scientist will be responsible for carrying out laboratory activities associated with fertility treatment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
The post holder will:
- Perform embryology laboratory procedures in line with established protocols
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient-centred care
- Maintain accurate clinical records and laboratory documentation
- Support quality management systems and regulatory requirements
- Participate in service development, audits and research activity where appropriate
- Contribute to weekend and bank holiday cover arrangements
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to achieve optimal patient outcomes

- Youre a state-registered, ICSI-trained Clinical Embryologist
- Degree in a relevant scientific discipline

- Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Embryology or related subject
- Additional specialist training in assisted reproductive technologies

- Sound knowledge of assisted reproductive technology procedures
- Understanding of quality assurance and governance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

- Interest in research and innovation within reproductive medicine
