Academics is delighted to be working in partnership with a friendly, nurturing, and high-achieving primary school that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and wants to be part of a collaborative school community.

Role Details

Location: Wandsworth
Start Date: September 2026 TO July 2026
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Pay: £95-£105 per day (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Deliver targeted small-group interventions focused on literacy, numeracy, communication, and social development.
  • Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience supporting children with SEN within a primary school, specialist provision, nursery, or similar educational setting.
  • Have knowledge of supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or other additional learning needs.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
