Role: Qualified Social Worker - Children in Our Care

Pay Rate: £35.00 per hour

Location: Grimsby Town Centre (Hybrid: Average 3 days per week on-site)

Are you an experienced Social Worker committed to building meaningful, long-term relationships with care-experienced children? North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking a passionate practitioner to join our Children in Our Care team.

• Support children and young people whose care plan is long-term, guiding them through to independence.

• Carry out regular visits to children in their homes, building positive relationships while ensuring all statutory requirements are met.

• Help children achieve permanence in a timely manner, maintain family relationships, and understand their life story.

• Prepare clear, high-quality reports for care planning and decision-making, ensuring all work meets statutory guidelines and strict deadlines.

• Drive care plans forward in close collaboration with your Line Manager, Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs), Virtual Schools, LAC Health, and Family Support Workers.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience, including direct experience working with children in long-term care.

• Professional Registration: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

• On-Site Commitment: Ability to work on-site at the Grimsby office an average of 3 days per week (non-negotiable, with flexibility in how days are arranged).
