Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Salary: £12.75 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, personable and well-presented Porter to join the team at a traditional and well-maintained mansion block in West London on a fixed-term basis. This will be for circa 2 months.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a high standard of service and presentation. The successful candidate will be a friendly and approachable presence within the building, providing excellent service to residents while helping to ensure the communal areas and surrounding grounds are kept clean, tidy and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming and assisting residents, visitors and contractors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of communal areas, entrances, hallways and other shared spaces.
• Assisting residents with day-to-day requests and enquiries.
• Receiving and managing deliveries and parcels where required.
• Monitoring access to the building and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Liaising with contractors and assisting with access to apartments and communal areas.
• Reporting maintenance issues, defects or health and safety concerns to the appropriate person.
• Assisting with the upkeep of the building's exterior areas and grounds.
• Moving bins and assisting with refuse and recycling arrangements.
• Carrying out routine checks of the building and reporting any issues promptly.
• Supporting the wider management team with general porterage and building duties as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Friendly, polite and professional in dealing with residents and visitors.
• Well presented and takes pride in their work.
• Practical and willing to get involved with a range of day-to-day tasks.
• Able to work independently and use initiative.
• Comfortable working in a residential environment where discretion and good customer service are important.
• Physically able to undertake the practical aspects of the role, including moving bins, deliveries and other items.
• Previous experience as a porter, caretaker, concierge, building attendant or in a similar residential role would be an advantage, but is not essential.
• A DBS is required for this role.
