A fast-growing, private equity-backed business based in North West London is looking to appoint a hands-on Interim Finance Manager to join its growing finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys being close to the detail and wants to play a key role in a dynamic, growing business.
The role will have significant responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the finance function, with a particular focus on month-end, management reporting, reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls.
The RoleReporting into the senior finance team, you will take ownership of a broad range of finance responsibilities, including:
- Leading the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting reporting packs
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- Preparing and analysing financial information for senior management
- Managing journals, accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments
- Supporting the wider finance team with year-end and audit processes
- Maintaining robust financial controls and processes
- Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes
- Working closely with non-finance stakeholders across the business
- Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and commercial insight as required
We're looking for someone who is hands-on, technically strong and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
You'll ideally have:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience across month-end and management accounts
- Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and ideally Power Query
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Experience working in a high-growth, complex or PE-backed environment would be advantageous
- A proactive, analytical approach with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders
- A practical, hands-on approach — someone who is happy getting into the detail rather than simply overseeing processes
