Interim Finance Manager - North West London

PE-Backed Business | North West London | Hybrid – 3 Days Office

A fast-growing, private equity-backed business based in North West London is looking to appoint a hands-on Interim Finance Manager to join its growing finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys being close to the detail and wants to play a key role in a dynamic, growing business.

The role will have significant responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the finance function, with a particular focus on month-end, management reporting, reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls.

Reporting into the senior finance team, you will take ownership of a broad range of finance responsibilities, including:

• Leading the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
• Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting reporting packs
• Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
• Preparing and analysing financial information for senior management
• Managing journals, accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments
• Supporting the wider finance team with year-end and audit processes
• Maintaining robust financial controls and processes
• Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes
• Working closely with non-finance stakeholders across the business
• Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and commercial insight as required

We're looking for someone who is hands-on, technically strong and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

You'll ideally have:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status, or equivalent experience
• Strong experience across month-end and management accounts
• Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and ideally Power Query
• Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
• Experience working in a high-growth, complex or PE-backed environment would be advantageous
• A proactive, analytical approach with excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders
• A practical, hands-on approach — someone who is happy getting into the detail rather than simply overseeing processes
