TeacherActive is proud to be working with an SEMH school in Chelmsford, supporting pupils who require additional social, emotional and mental health support. The school provides a supportive environment focused on helping young people engage positively with their education and achieve their potential.
The school is looking to take on an LSA on a full-time, temporary basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right LSA. Working from 08:45 - 15:15, the successful LSA will provide 1:1 support to KS3 and KS4 pupils, helping them engage with learning, manage their behaviour and develop their confidence and independence.
The successful LSA will have:
• Experience working with children or young people in an education or SEND setting
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
• Confidence providing 1:1 support to KS3 and KS4 pupils
• A patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A positive and adaptable attitude
