SEND Reform Project Manager
Location: Somerset
Rate: £500 per day
Contract: 3-month rolling contract
Working Pattern: Approximately 2 days per week onsite

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Reform Project Manager to support a major SEND Improvement Programme in Somerset.

This role will be central to the delivery of SEND Reform projects, with a particular focus on implementing and embedding Somerset’s Experts at Hand (EAH) model across education settings for children and young people aged 0–25.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the wider SEND Reform Plan, working collaboratively across education, local authority services, health partners, parent carers and children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mobilise and deliver key SEND Reform projects across Somerset
  • Drive the implementation of the Experts at Hand (EAH) Locality Delivery Model
  • Develop and manage programme plans, milestones, risks and dependencies
  • Provide governance, progress and performance reporting to relevant boards and stakeholders
  • Build strong and effective relationships with education settings, health partners and wider SEND stakeholders
  • Coordinate programme communications, evaluation and performance activity
  • Support recruitment activity linked to programme delivery
  • Lead and support commissioning, procurement and contract management activity
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed timescales, objectives and outcomes
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Strong project management experience, ideally supported by a recognised project management qualification
  • Proven experience delivering SEND improvement or transformation projects
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Experience of working collaboratively across local authorities, education settings, health partners and other SEND stakeholders
  • Experience supporting projects involving recruitment, commissioning, procurement and contract management
  • Strong programme planning, risk management and governance reporting experience
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver complex projects to agreed deadlines
