Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Wellingborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide targeted support to pupils, helping them to engage positively with their education and develop greater confidence and independence.
The RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils across the school.

Assist students with their learning and help them access the curriculum.

Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
-
Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and participation.
-
Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

Work alongside teachers to adapt activities and provide appropriate support.
-
Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
-
Monitor pupil progress and communicate relevant information to teaching staff.

Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will:

Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.

Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils to succeed.
-
Be patient, empathetic and approachable.
-
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Be confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
-
Have good behaviour management skills and a calm approach.
-
Be adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
