Finance Assistant (Finance Operations)

We are currently working in partnership with a leading Education provider based in Birmingham, who are recruiting for a Finance Assistant on a six month fixed term contract.

The salary for this position is £28,287 and travel will be required to the office three days per week.

The ideal candidate will be confident in a customer facing position, have an understanding of transactional finance processes and be experienced with large sets of data

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting the accurate and timely delivery of Finance month-end activities in line with the published timetable, including supporting the preparation of nominal account reconciliations for review
• Accurately and efficiently recording operational transactions in both the sub ledger and the general ledger in line with agreed transactional KPI’s
• Supporting the delivery of a quality and timely customer service with a continuous improvement ethos
• Producing regular and ad hoc reports to Finance Managers
• Responding to and resolving queries and issues presented by finance colleagues, non-finance staff and other key stakeholders

Experience required:

• Background in a transactional finance setting and an understanding of financial reporting processes
