Location: Leeds - 3 days on site
Contract Type: 6 months with scope to extend
Role Overview
The Senior Risk & Controls Delivery Manager will lead and coordinate the delivery of technology and digital change initiatives arising from audit findings, regulatory commitments, risk remediation and control requirements.
This is a highly delivery-focused role, requiring a proven technology and digital delivery professional who can operate across complex programmes, platforms and teams to deliver outcomes in a highly regulated environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Business, Risk, Control, Compliance and Audit, translating regulatory and control requirements into clear delivery plans and ensuring that technology solutions, remediation activity and associated commitments are delivered effectively and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of technology and digital initiatives arising from audit findings, regulatory commitments, risk remediation and control requirements.
- Own and drive delivery plans across multiple technology workstreams, ensuring commitments are delivered to agreed scope, timelines and quality standards.
- Translate audit, regulatory, risk and control requirements into clear technology and delivery outcomes.
- Work closely with Technology and Business teams to define scope, establish priorities and deliver sustainable solutions.
- Coordinate delivery across multiple technology platforms, teams, suppliers and third parties.
- Establish and manage integrated delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and critical path activities.
- Provide clear delivery leadership and ensure appropriate ownership and accountability across workstreams.
- Proactively identify delivery risks, blockers and dependencies, driving resolution and escalating where appropriate.
- Work closely with Risk, Control, Compliance and Audit teams to ensure regulatory and control requirements are appropriately addressed through technology delivery.
- Coordinate responses and remediation activity associated with Internal Audit, External Audit and regulatory reviews, ensuring technology actions are delivered and evidenced effectively.
- Provide clear and concise reporting on delivery progress, risks, issues, dependencies and key decisions to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
- Lead delivery governance across relevant initiatives, ensuring effective decision-making, action tracking and escalation.
- Support Technology and Platform Leadership with planning, prioritisation and delivery oversight across key initiatives.
- Drive effective collaboration between Business, Technology, Risk, Control, Compliance and external partners.
- Ensure solutions and remediation activity are delivered with appropriate consideration of risk, controls, operational resilience, security and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a delivery-focused culture based on accountability, transparency, continuous improvement and sustainable outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading technology and digital delivery within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong track record of successfully delivering technology change, transformation, remediation or regulatory-driven programmes.
- Experience managing complex delivery across multiple technology teams, platforms, suppliers and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience taking initiatives from definition and planning through to implementation and successful closure.
- Strong understanding of technology delivery methodologies, governance, planning, dependency management, risk and issue management.
- Experience delivering technology change within a highly regulated environment.
- Experience working with audit, regulatory, risk or control requirements and translating these into actionable technology delivery outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior Technology and Business leaders.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and maintain delivery momentum across a complex portfolio of activity.
- Strong commercial and delivery mindset, with the ability to challenge assumptions, manage scope and focus teams on outcomes.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in complex or ambiguous environments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience producing senior-level delivery reporting and presenting progress, risks, issues and recommendations to governance forums.
- Strong understanding of the relationship between technology delivery, operational risk, controls and regulatory obligations.
