Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dental Therapist to join Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Dental Services.
Experience of working in NHS dentistry is essential.
The post is 22.5 hours (and can be and 3 days except Mondays) for our sites in Central Lancashire ( Bamber Bridge Clinic, Ringway Dental Centre and Ashton Health Centre). The post is peripatetic across these sites in accordance with Service need.
You can be expected to work at other sites within LSCft Dental Services.
Main duties of the job
o Perform a wide range of clinical and preventative dental procedures on referral from a dentist in line with current Scope of Practice.o Provide dental care on a domiciliary basis where required.o To participate in training and carry out extended duties where appropriate for example in conscious sedation.o To provide oral health advice and instruction in line with Delivering Better Oral Health and MECC.o Comply with National Trust and Dental Services policies, procedures and guidance, NHS PDS Regulationso To keep contemporaneous clinical records using the preferred record keeping system.o You can be expected to work at any of the sites across LSCft Dental Services.
