Job summary
Queensway Hospital is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our hospital based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Queensway Hospital is a Mental Health service in association with the Ellern Mede Group We provide individualised, person-centred care for our patients. Our multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaborates with patients, families, and professionals to enhance mental health and wellbeing.
Main duties of the job
To provide high quality, well prepared and presented food to patients and other personnel as directed. To tidy the kitchen and assist the cook throughout the day. To provide high standards of catering, using every opportunity to provide meals of a good visual and nutritional standard. To help prepare meals and snacks at the direction of other catering staff and nursing staff. To assist in the preparation of food, wash cutlery and dishes and tidy the kitchen, replace bins and ensure waste is disposed correctly.

Care is delivered across the spacious Elizabeth Ward, with Elizabeth Lower downstairs and Elizabeth Upper upstairs. We Offer In our service, we collaborate with commissioning teams to keep admissions as brief as possible, based on each patient's bespoke care plan. Our goal is to support recovery and reintegration into the community by offering choice and developing trust with all our partners.
