Join Our TeamAre you a compassionate and motivated Healthcare Assistant looking to develop your skills in primary care? We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at Tieve Tara Medical Centre.This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care within a busy GP practice. Working under the supervision of our Lead Practice Nurse, you will support patients throughout their healthcare journey and contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centered care.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide a range of clinical and patient-focused services, including and will work closely with GPs, nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team to help deliver excellent primary care services to our local community.
What we are looking for:We are looking for a proactive and resilient individual who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and the ability to use initiative when managing competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment. You will be adaptable, self-motivated, and able to respond professionally to a variety of challenges while maintaining confidentiality, empathy, and compassion. A flexible approach to working patterns and locations, together with a commitment to personal and professional development, is essential for this role.

- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or currently studying in the final year of a degree in nursing
- Pass at GCSE, or equivalent in Maths, English and a science subject
Desirable
- Additional skills and competencies within nursing achieved through accreditation with skills for health, First Steps Programme or universally recognised Higher Care certificate.
Knowledge
Essential
- Experience of working with people with health needs.
- Knowledge of primary care, mental health and addiction support services and an ability to work across these areas under supervision
- Knowledge of relevant nursing procedures and practices
- Previous experience of working in a GP practice
- Experience of work in a multidisciplinary team setting.
